Hasankey Still 2

Hasankey battles well to win at Wetherby

QUOTES: HASANKEY walked through the last but battled all the way to the line. This galloping track suited him much better and he’ll prefer better ground. He’ll probably have a break now and come back in the spring. He was bought off the Flat in Ireland as a dual-purpose horse – Laura Morgan, trainer.

Add 117yds. A fair juvenile hurdle. The front three in the market came clear and fought out a thrilling, separate race to the remainder. HASANKEY was dropping in class after his Musselburgh second earlier in the month. He showed a decent attitude to get the better of a good three-way scrap after his mistake at the last. The 3yo should continue to develop into a fairly decent handicapper.

Another win for Beautiful Ben

A gutsy win for Beautiful Ben  at Market Rasen. Carrying top weight and under a powerful ride from Adam Wedge.

BEAUTIFUL BEN, with a couple of creditable thirds since winning off a 5lb lower mark in July, enjoyed the drop in class. He looked the winner jumping the last, but was headed briefly on the run-in before showing tremendous resolution to get back up. He shouldn't go up much and can remain competitive before the softer ground sets in

BB Perth 3

Beautiful Ben wins at Perth

Beautiful Ben got off the mark for the yard under a positive ride from Adam Wedge, at a windy and wet Perth Racecourse

BEAUTIFUL BEN had shown okay form in two starts over hurdles for Laura Morgan following a long lay off and built on that to take this. He was fairly treated on some of his Irish form but it's fair to say this success wasn't easy to predict before the off.

Zach 2

Zacharova makes it a double at Kelso

Zacharova winning her third bumper from four runs and giving Laura Morgan her first double as a trainer.

ZAKHAROVA went on with a circuit left and won with a bit up her sleeve, her rider not needing to be hard on her to hold the closing runner-up. She's a pretty useful mare, whose only defeat in four bumpers came in a Grade 2, while she completed a double on the day for her trainer and rider.

UU Wetherby 3

Uisce Ur Wins at Wetherby

Uisce Ur winning in fine style at Wetherby for the in form Tabitha Worsley and Laura Morgan

UISCE UR cruised into contention and once asked to pick up from the last she delivered the goods, making it second time lucky for her current trainer. The application of first-time cheekpieces helped and the Irish point winner has obviously kicked off handicaps on a decent mark.

Haasab 3

Haasab wins at Market Rasen

Having had no runners for a while, Haasab got off the mark in fine style at Market Rasen. He was given an excellent positive ride by the talented Tabitha Worsley.

HAASAB took the bull by the horns after a couple of flights and wasn't for catching after kicking at the top of the home straight. It was a deserved breakthrough and a wind operation since his last outing in January has evidently done the trick. HAASAB has been a bit unlucky but has had his palate done and it has helped him. He's in at Sedgefield on Friday and could take his chance, although he's definitely better when fresh - Laura Morgan, trainer.
